RE: pirateland or ocean lakes for next year

We have stayed at both Ocean Lakes and Lakewood. Either is wonderful. They both have their weak and strong points, but both are very nice. We enjoyed each one.

RE: Would like some opinions

I redid an old Coachmen years ago. I contacted Coachmen and inquired about buying some new decals to use after the repaint. They were kind enough to just send me out some free of charge. I painted the stone cover the same color as the trim on the trailer. I put the new decals on and it turned out great! Contact your manufacturer and let them know what you are doing. Their trailers are advertisement for them and they will want them to look as good as possible. You might be surprised how much help they can be!

RE: When do you tie down your awning?

We usually don't tie the awning down unless the wind picks up. Like most others on here, we roll up if it gets bad.

RE: Coachmen Campers

Check it over real good. We bought a new Coachmen in 2000. The roof began leaking and we had it back 3 times before they got it fixed. They had to replace the carpet and the mattress to get rid of the mildew. We traded it off soon after that. We were afraid of mold inside the walls.

RE: Chrysler Town and Country

Chrysler is bad for tricks like that. My wife and I bought a new Town & Country in 2006. It was all decked out too. It had a dvd player in it. After we signed the papers and were about to leave, we noticed that it had no screen for the dvd. We found out that it was extra and they wanted $800.00 to add it on. What a crock!!!! We finally agreed to pay half of that which was still not at all fair.
